Average Giants Episode 45 – Solarix and Not Everything Is Flammable!

IGM Presents… The Average Giants! A weekly webseries where we play indie games while chatting with their developers. Come watch (and “follow”) the show live on our hitbox channel every Monday night at 9:00pm EDT.

Join us for another week of chills, scares and one of the most original horror games we’ve ever played on the show. Solarix is featured in our first slot this week, though we hope the team will return to the show when Solarix launches on Steam in Q1 2015. Check out our exclusive sneak preview of this intense sci fi survival horror game with a heavy leaning towards old school stealth mechanics. Solarix has been one of the highest quality and polished games that we’ve had the pleasure of having on the show, and hanging out with Mark Gregory of Pulse Tense Games was a hoot.

Mix the UDK graphics with some superb ambient audio and an impressive cast of voice actors, and you’re going to want to make sure this game is on your wishlist for launch. Check it out on Steam here!

Our second guests were soon-to-be university graduates, and their latest project is a free and quirky little game called, Not Everything Is Flammable, which is available right now on Game Jolt, or by clicking here. In this awesome title you play as a sentient fire who’s only goal in life is not to flicker out… oh, and BURN EVERYTHING IN YOUR WAY!

Enjoy the Giants trying to beat their own high scores in this Katamari/Bit Trip Runner hybrid.

Check out the full stream archive below, or tune in to our IGM Live page on Monday evenings to catch the show live.
