Fighting with puny guns and fists is fun, sure, but what’s really fun is getting in several tons of hardened steel with a giant gun strapped to the top of it; now that’s real combat. Developers Thang Phung Dinh and Dzung Phung Dinh want to bring back the classic top-down shooter style with their game Tank Brawl.
Players hop into their tanks to battle it out in 23 levels that are divided into 6 themes ranging from a crystal mining site to mountains, and even a city. Controls are simple allowing players to pick up and jump right into the action. How simple? Well, just 4 directional buttons and the boom-boom button (aka the fire button). There’s a dash of RPG element in this shooter as players can upgrade their tank’s damage, movement speed, bullet speed and more. Players can also pick up power-ups that are hidden throughout the battlefield like slowing down time, increased shield, or even a pet tank that will fight along side them just to name a few. Players can even battle alongside a friend in a 2 player co-op mode, which may come in handy when battling a giant boss.
Tank Brawl is expected to be released April 20th on Steam for Windows PC. To learn more about the game and the developers Thang Phung Dinh and Dzung Phung Dinh visit the official website, “like” on Facebook and follow on Twitter.
