Take a Risk by Salvaging a Giant Alien Space-Hulk in Cryptark

Cryptark is a 2-D sci-fi roguelike shooter from Canadian developer AlienTrap Games. Players take the role of a heavily-armed privateer looking to gain government contracts by boarding giant, deadly, alien space-hulks. Each one of these derelicts is a viper’s nest of cybernetic abominations, robotics, and security systems designed to annihilate any intruders.

It is up to the player to strategize a plan of attack, disabling the multitude of defenses the derelict has in order to get to the central systems core. Directly assaulting the core is suicide; thus, the player must destroy key target locations in order for the core to become an easier target. The game is procedurally generated, giving players a unique experience every time they board a space-hulk. There are over 60 weapons and items to choose from, ranging from flamethrowers to frag-cannons and nukes.

Cryptark is on Steam Early Access at a discount of 15% off the normal price of $12.99 (USD). The game is slated for a 2016 release on Windows PC, Mac, Linux and PlayStation 4.
