Solve Dastardly Murders as the One and Only Bertram Fiddle

Murders. They could be funnier, if only the right detective was on the case. This is where Rumpus Animation’s Bertram Fiddle comes in, using sharp wit, various Victorian clockwork machines, and the help of his one-eyed assistant, Gavin, to solve a series of murders that have left London quivering. With Bertram Fiddle: Episode 1: A Dreadly Business, the first part of his series of point-and-click adventures, available now, it’s time for players to help the leading Victorian explorator cut through the murky sea of mystery, intrigue, and puns to find out just who Geoff the Murderer really is.

Anyone looking for a serious adventure should know the silliness never really lets up in Bertram Fiddle. With characters named Lord Arthwipe and dialogue pertaining to Fiddle’s grandfather’s enormous clock, there is not much serious business going on here. Filled with characters that could wander freely onto shows like Over the Garden Wall or Regular Show, the art style has a silly sense of humor before the player even starts to hear about characters and their oversized personal effects. This is unsurprising given Rumpus Animation’s background in animation, though.

Bertram Fiddle: Episode 1: A Dreadly Business is available for $4.59 on the App Store. For more information on the game and Rumpus Animation, you can go to the game’s website or follow it on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
