Put an End to Age-old Conflicts in Tahira: Echoes of the Astral Empire

The World of Ma’abtik was suffering an extended dark era when a civil war among the Astral Empire forced its thousands of worlds to divide. Half a millennium passed, and the remnants of the empire thought to be fossilized, have awakened to rekindle their devastating conflict. Caught in the middle is Avestinian Princess, Tahira, a beacon of hope that illuminates the darkness the Astral Empire wears like a black cape. Seemingly reluctant to perform the duties bestowed upon her at birth, Tahira must cope with the responsibility of leading her people to safety in light of the turmoil that plagues their land. Throughout the episodic game series, she will grow stronger and wiser before taking the fight to the Astral Empire.

 

Players must take back the kingdom and lead it to providence, utilizing a tactical, turn-based combat system to bring down their adversaries. Along the way, players will acquire the help of a diverse set of characters that each add flavor to the adventure. These characters will be present throughout the episodes, and players have direct influence on them as their companion. Development studio Whale Hammer GamesTahira: Echoes of the Astral Empire is billed as an episodic tale with a rich universe and diverse characters and culture that combines science fiction and medieval styles, fueled by a familiar turn-based, tactical RPG battle framework The game will be scored by Brendan Holyland, who weaves an atmospheric tapestry that compliments the emotions conveyed by the protagonist.

 

Tahira has a projected release date for Episode One set for late 2015 on PC, Mac, and Linux, with a kickstarter campaign estimated to be launched in January next year.
