Magnetic By Nature is Platforming Without Platforms

I do not multitask well. I need to be doing one thing at a time, or things tend to fall apart. That can make life difficult for me in puzzle platformers like Schein or Super Meat Boy, but at least in those games I can stop for a moment and take stock of what I’m doing. What if I couldn’t, though? What if I had to play through those hard games without any kind of break? Well, along came Magnetic By Nature, a game seemingly built to bring me to my knees.

Magnetic By Nature‘s concept of platforming without platforms seemed interesting the last time we took a look at it. By changing the polarity of the robot protagonist to create momentum in the metallic environment, players can traverse the strange alien landscapes of Tripleslash Studios’ game. There is no safe spot to land, though, so players will have to solve the game’s puzzles and navigate the world without stopping. Magnetic By Nature‘s puzzle-like environments look challenging on their own, but having to solve those puzzles while in constant motion makes things much, much harder.

Players can now find that out for themselves, though, as Magnetic By Nature recently released for purchase. The award-winning game (bringing home several awards at the 2013 Utah Game Wars), is available for $9.99 (or $12.99 bundled with the soundtrack) from Steam, Humble Bundle, and even Ouya.
