Descend the Stairs, If You’re Feeling Brave

An investigative journalist whose career is on the rocks is looking for a story to break back into the big time. After hearing about an abandoned factory around which people keep disappearing, he naturally decides to check things out and get the scoop. So begins the story of Stairs, a project by GreyLight Entertainment. A survival/adventure horror game, Stairs has been available in pre-Alpha since 2013, and now they’re looking to get a full version funded through Kickstarter later this month.

Cozy!

The original project was only meant to be a 20-minute homage to SCP 087, and along the way, it picked up inspiration from such events as the Donner Party’s fateful trip, and the exploits of Ed Gein, a serial murderer. It soon became the pre-Alpha demo that was played by the likes of Markiplier and Pewdiepie on Youtube, and the success of those LPs is what led GreyLight to believe that a more complete game was a good idea. Players will take a journey through unknown depths, learning about the history of a horrifying place while running for their lives, if necessary. Solve puzzles, do whatever it takes to get your story…just be sure you can leave to report it.

She’s just lonely. You should go say “hi.”
