Reach for the Sun In Yukti

Players must be careful when following their path in Yukti. The message of this puzzle game is that planning pays dividends. Like a game of intergalactic dominoes, the object is to move from planet to planet, gaining energy until reaching the final destination of the system’s sun.

Over the course of fifty levels, the game offers a wide variety of obstacles. Players are faced with a stationary screen filled with planets, black holes, and a sun. In order to move forward, players must correctly trace a viable path that will intersect with each planet. Eventually, they must reach the sun. There are many ways to fail, such as being sucked into a black hole, or missing out on the energy of a planet, but there are also numerous ways to succeed.

The game begins with easier puzzles to teach the player the mechanics. The roadmap is created by placing a finger on the current location, and dragging it to the desired destination. Sometimes it is as simple as a slightly curved line or slope, but there are many levels that require a little creativity.

Yukti offers only moment or two of gameplay per level, but aims to be part of the popular genre of games that require little player interaction. Techno-synthesizer audio accompanies this galactic puzzler. Developed by G-Productions, Yukti is available on iOS.
