Warframe Tier List: 10 Best Frames You can Acquire as of 2019
Looking for a good Warframe tier list that can help you stay on top of the current meta? Well, there’s no need to look any further because we have the list you need right here. In this article, we’re going to go over the 10 best frames as of 2019. Some of these frames are very easy to acquire as you can get them either at or near the beginning of the game. Others, however, will take some work and quite a bit of grinding but they will be well worth the effort.
When compiling this Warframe tier list we took a look at several factors that influenced other decision, including skills and overall usefulness. That said, coming up with a definitive ranking is close to impossible as each frame is different and useful in its own way. In other words, it’s hard to say if one frame is objectively better than others in many situations. That’s why we’re not looking to rank them and create a top 10 list. Instead, we’re just going to talk about what we consider to be the best 10 frames right now, in no particular order. With that in mind, let’s begin.
#10. Excalibur
We’re kicking off this list with a choice that every player should be very familiar with. Excalibur is one of the three frames you can pick between at the very beginning of Warframe. Despite being very accessible, Excalibur is a very solid frame that maintains its usefulness throughout the game. Excalibur has great DPS potential, AOE, and reliable crowd control. If you’re looking for a stronger version of this frame, you could always get the Excalibur Umbra later on.
Prime: Yes
Tier: High
#9. Rhino
Rhino is another powerful frame you can get early on in the game. If you’re worried about survivability, you’re absolutely going to love this one. Rhino is incredibly tanky and capable of withstanding a lot of punishment even during boss fights. Where Rhino truly shines, however, is during fights with hordes of enemies thanks to his Iron Skin ability, which has the potential to give him a ridiculous amount of extra armor. If you want to change things up a bit in the late game you could always swap him for his more powerful variant, Rhino Prime.
Prime: Yes
Tier: Top
#8. Inaros
Similar to Rhino, Inaros excels at staying alive but goes about doing it in a slightly different way. Inaros’ abilities revolve around stealing health from opponents while also incapacitating or disrupting them in the process. As far as the ultimate ability is concerned, Scarab Swarm perfectly complements the rest of the kit as it drains health and turns it into armor. You may run low on health at times because of this but keep killing enemies and you won’t have to worry about that little drawback.
Prime: No
Tier: Top
#7. Nova
Nova is a very versatile frame that can be truly devastating on the battlefield. Null Star is great at keeping her alive when surrounded while she deals tons of damage with Antimatter Drop. Meanwhile, her ultimate ability, Molecular Prime, can cripple entire hordes of enemies in a large radius. And if you ever get overwhelmed by opposing forces, you can always make a quick getaway with Worm Hole.
Prime: Yes
Tier: Top
#6. Octavia
We couldn’t really have a tier list without including Octavia, could we? There’s a good reason why you’re likely to find this frame on every list like this and that’s because Octavia is extremely overpowered at the moment. Perhaps even a bit too much some might say. Octavia has insane DPS and some of the most powerful buffs in the game, which she can bestow upon her entire team.
Prime: No
Tier: Top

#5. Ivara
Ivara is another great damage dealer who can destroy her enemies from afar thanks to her powerful ranged abilities. Add to that the fact that she is permanently invisible and you’re looking at the best stealth ranger in the game. While Ivara is good at snipping out individual targets, she is absolutely devastating against groups of enemies thanks to her ultimate ability, Artemis Bow.
Prime: No
Tier: Top
#4. Nidus
Nidus is all about bringing plagues and diseases to the battlefield. Luckily, you don’t have to worry about getting infected because he focuses his dark powers on opponents. For the most part. Parasitic Link can damage both allies and enemies so this ability needs to be used with care. As far as the rest of his kit is concerned, Nidus can go all out because he grows increasingly more powerful the more enemies he kills with his abilities.
Prime: No
Tier: High
#3. Saryn
Saryn is the master of poison and venomous attacks. Most of her abilities are geared towards inflicting damage over time to nearby enemies and spreading her toxic spores across the battlefield. Her ultimate ability, in particular, is very efficient at weakening and destroying groups of enemies. If things get too hot, Saryn can also make a quick getaway by using her Shed ability.
Prime: Yes
Tier: Middle
#2. Equinox
Equinox is one of the only frames in the game with more than four abilities. What makes this frame so unique is Metamorphosis, a skill that allows her to change between Day and Night forms, each of which grants her three very distinct and opposing abilities. This makes her more challenging to play than other frames. On the bright side, it also makes her very versatile and quite powerful in the hands of a good player.
Prime: Yes
Tier: High
#1. Mesa
We’re wrapping our list with Mesa, one of the best damage dealers in the game. Mesa is adept both at sniping high-value targets with Ballistic Battery and making short work of swarms of enemies with her ultimate, Peacemaker. In addition, she also has a good defensive ability and can buff allies. A very well-rounded frame indeed.
Prime: Yes
Tier: Top
