To Azimuth – A Cinematic Alien Abduction Mystery

Stylized and experimental game studio, [bracket] games, presents To Azimuth – an alien abduction mystery game set in 1970’s alabama. Eli Windham, Vietnam War veteran-turned drug addict and alcoholic to help cope with the trauma of the war’s aftermath, has suddenly vanished. His sister, Susannah who took the initiative to help Eli get his life together, now must find out what’s happened to him. With police hesitant to investigate his disappearance due to his past substance abuse, she must convince her other brother, Nate, to return to Alabama and help her find out what happened to Eli.

Taking the role of Susannah and Nate, you’ll explore open environments for clues and information. As you dive deeper into the investigation, you soon find out that Eli’s disappearance is something possibly extraterrestrial. Although, its SciFi theme seems more a vessel to deliver more personable themes like mental illness, and family ties.

At its core, To Azimuth is an adventure game – you’ll spend most of your time investigating items, and solving environmental puzzles that are logically thought provoking. How deep players explore and investigate the mystery, is entirely up to them.

To Azimuth features stark geometric imagery, similar to games like Kentucky Route Zero, but seems to have stronger focus on lighting and cinematic compositions.

[bracket] games, the same developers of Three Fourths Home, are looking to raise $20K on Kickstarter to fund To Azimuth. For more information on the developers and the progress of the game, follow them on Twitter.
