Naughty Dog has finally announced the release date for the highly anticipated game, The Last of Us Part II. It will be released on major consoles worldwide, along with on PlayStation, on 29th May 2020. Neil Druckmann, Vice President of Naughty Dog, announced in a blog: ‘As we were closing out sections of the game, we realized we simply didn’t have enough time to bring the entire game up to a level of polish we would call Naughty Dog quality. We hope you understand that this additional time ensures that it lives up to our collective ambition as well as our commitment to the highest level of quality.’
The very first edition of the series, The Last of Us, has been an incredibly successful game. Players worldwide have loved the game for years now, and the game has also made it to several top lists. The action-adventure game follows the life and journey of Ellie and Joel in a dangerous and deadly post-apocalyptic world. The Last of Us Part II follows the same two characters, but with a completely different take on the story. This time, both Joel and Ellie have settled down in a quiet house after the deadly events of the first game; however, their peace is soon disrupted. The Last of Us Part II then plays out the events that happen after this.
