Tacopocalypse Explores New Hazards in Food Delivery
Never has being a taco delivery person ever looked so good. Tacopocalypse takes the role of being a minimum-wage taco delivery driver and ups the danger, just a touch. Dodge meteors raining down from the sky, tornadoes blocking your path, and all with tacos to deliver. So much for the first day on the job being easy. Tacopocalypse is a combination of aspects of familiar games like Tony Hawk Pro Skater and The Simpson’s Hit and Run with a little bit of extra chaos.
Players can perform exciting stunts that have them flying through the air, all in the name of delivering those wonderful tacos. The apocalypse lasts across multiple maps – including Las Vegas and Hawaii – that each have their own disasters to avoid.
Customize cars by choosing between speed, space for more tacos, and a variety of other options to fit a particular play style. The look of the car can be customized, as well. Single and multiplayer modes are available.
In Tacopocalypse, traffic laws don’t really apply. Get creative, and do flips, grinds, and other tricks to load up the pice Meter, which earns the player more money for the delivery. Don’t want to deliver tacos? Players can test their driving skills in Timed Trial or explore and do stunts in the Free Roam mode.
Tacopocalypse is currently seeking funding on Kickstarter and is also trying to get Greenlit on Steam. There’s a demo of the game available for PC, and Cherry Pie Games is working on demos for Mac and Linux.
