Super Knight World – An Homage to 8-bit Gaming

Games like Super Mario and Ghouls n’ Ghosts remind us of that era of challenging-yet-simple 8-bit gameplay. Coffeemuggames knows this, and is in the development process for Super Knight World, a game that uses the charm of 8-bit graphics and gameplay models to bring us a game that promises entertaining nostalgia.

Super Knight World follows the adventure of a brave knight, fighting and journeying to save the Kingdom he serves from destruction. Using his ability to run, jump, and strike at creatures with his sword, players must traverse the 8-bit landscape quickly and carefully. Much like Super Mario, each level has a limited amount of time available to complete it, and ending the level earlier leads to a higher score.

Several creatures will cross the Knight’s path, including serpentine monsters, ghosts, and even other dangerous knights. Interestingly, each enemy that the player strikes down remains as a body on the 8-bit landscape, offering a slight change in the overall retro game genre. Besides the general colorfulness of the 8-bit visual effects, there will also be an 8-bit soundtrack and sound effects to fit within Super Knight World’s atmosphere.
