‘Sound Of Silence’ Knows Your Fears And Will Adapt To Scare You

It might just be a concept but it’s an awesome one. Sound of Silence exists only as a concept video put together by Michael Chiniquy at the moment, but due to a surge of interest from Reddit, Michael says he will be working on the game and has many offers of help to do so.

What is it then? Quite simply, it’s a psychological horror game (or hopefully will be) that adapts to how the player acts, assessing them in order to supply a bespoke horror experience. Scared of the dark? Expect plenty of pitch black corridors to navigate

The concept of the game thus far, starts off with the player waking up aside a road during the night with no one around. There’s a tree and not much else, with the most obvious landmark being a nearby house. As the player moves and looks around the game is taking in all of the information and preparing the horrors for them inside the house. Corridors and rooms will be completely altered according to which fears the game thinks the player is most vulnerable to.

The fear showcased in the video is darkness. The player wanders around in the dark and well…we wouldn’t want to spoil it for you. Watch the concept video below but be aware that it is just – a concept. None of this will make it in-game, but we hope it will be able to live up to the strength of the idea, giving players a unique horror experience which can be revisited again and again with different results.
