Developed by Megan Fox, SkateBIRD will release worldwide in 2020 for Windows, Mac, and Linux soon. Developer Megan Fox told Polygon, ‘I certainly didn’t expect to get this much press traction. I fully expected, at best, to get a little push on the announcement day, then for it to go quiet until after E3. Instead, we’re going toe to toe for coverage with like, that Final Fantasy remake? Seriously? News readouts keep being like: BIG SQUARESOFT THING, oh hai little bird, DESTINY, bird again hello, HALO, etc. It’s wild.’
This single-player game will be made available worldwide in June 2020 on multiple consoles, including Nintendo Switch. Nintendo will support all three gaming modes – Handheld, TV, and Tabletop. The game technically falls into multiple categories – Racing, Simulation, Sports, and Indie. This Indie gaming has caught the world by storm and has been garnering more attention than the developers originally expected. It is probably the simple yet bright theme of the game that has been the cause for the game to become so highly anticipated.

The plotline of SkateBIRD is heart-warmingly adorable. Your dear friend, Big Friend, has given up skating and is feeling low and without a purpose. Big Friend is never home to play with you, and Big Friend hates their job. You feel bad for Big Friend and want to do something that will bring a smile to their face. You think of many things but can’t come up with a single plan. That is when it hits you – the one thing Big Friend loved the most was skating! So, you decide to follow in Big Friend’s footsteps and try giving skating a chance.

However, the admirable little bird that you are, you do not give up hope. You skate over scary staplers and through sticky tapes. You skate on straws and across cardboards. You skate for all the life that you have in you. After all, Big Friend’s happiness is on the line. You simply cannot give up. No matter what obstacles you find in your way, you need to keep going.
