Indie Intermission – ‘Tiny Dangerous Dungeons’ Monochrome Madness
It seems that over the past few weeks a whole load of jams have been happening and with the Gameboy Jam finishing just last week I thought it only appropriate to cover some of the excellent games it has spawned.
Tiny Dangerous Dungeons from Adventure Islands is a great little metroidvania in which you are expected to escape from this monochrome nightmare.
The game has a great graphical style that resembles very well the Gameboy era but with some slightly smoother edges. The game plays out like a typical metroidvania as you progress through the game you acquire more powers and abilities that allow you to move through extra branching paths.
Considering the game was developed in just a weekend it feels very well designed and polished with well structured levels and some great power-ups.
Average play time – 30 minutes
Overall Tiny Dangerous Dungeons is a fun metroidvania that has been well developed and put together very well. The game branches as much as you can expect and is a blast from start to finish.
You can play Tiny Dangerous Dungeons online now. The jam page for the game can be found here.
