‘Oliver & Spike: Dimension Jumpers’ To Be Pretty Daggone Beautiful

It’s not often that we see an indie game aim for “graphically stunning” from the get-go. It’s even less often that we see one actually succeed. That’s what makes Oliver & Spike: Dimension Jumpers so remarkable—if the precious morsels the developers have fed us through screenshots and footage are accurate, this game will seriously deliver in both graphics and gameplay.

Oliver & Spike: Dimension Jumpers is to be a 3D puzzle-platformer. Players must navigate the treacherous terrain by dimension-jumping to versions of the world with different attributes (Example time: one dimension is completely underwater, allowing you to swim around with limited oxygen, while another has low gravity, allowing you to jump higher). Now, to prevent the well-trained gaming gurus out there from merely waltzing through the (amazingly beautiful) levels, there is a restriction: you have a limited amount of dimension-hops, or “jumps”, to get through each level.

Currently, the future of Oliver & Spike: Dimension Jumpers is a little up in the air. The release date and system are yet to be determined, but Rock Pocket is looking at XBLA and PSN as possible platforms. PC and Mac versions may be considered later as well, but nothing is set in stone. For those curious readers out there, more information about Oliver & Spike: Dimension Jumpers can be found on their official website.
