DC Universe Online (DCUO) is a massively multiplayer game online. It is an action game that features characters from the DC Universe, popularized by DC comics. Popular characters from the DC world like Lex Luthor, Flash, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Green Arrow, Poison Ivy, Batman, and Superman are featured in this game. A new character can be created to interact with the DC characters as this game is played. This is a free-to-play game that is available online. It is a multiplayer game that you play along with others.
The game was released in 2011. It is available for Microsoft Windows, Playstation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch platforms. The game was created by the developer Dimensional Ink Games. It was published by WB games, along with the Daybreak Game Company. The game was created using the Unreal Engine 3. The game has 37 episodes, along with other seasonal content. The game plot, characters, and storyline
The game is set in the future in the DC universe. The game features the world readying itself for an epic battle between the DC heroes and villains. Lex Luthor is commanding an army of all the top villains, including the Joker and Harley Quinn. The army of the DC heroes is headed by Batman. The initial start of the game ends with the death of Wonder Woman and the entry of Superman, who battled Luthor. The game prelude ends with the revelation that the villain Brainiac has created an army of metahumans ready to invade earth.
The game then starts where the player is brought into the game. At this stage, the player has to decide whether to be part of the heroes or villains. There are characters from the past and the future in the game. This opens up many realities and possibilities in the game. There are 37 different episodes released in the game, each of which has a clear-cut storyline. Different episodes focus on different characters. For instance, Episode 2 has the Flash as the main character, while episode 4 features the Joker. The latest episode is 37, titled the Birds of Prey.

The gameplay
You are allowed to customize the character who you use for playing this game. You can select whether to be a hero or villain, body type, personality, weapon, power, and other features. There are various templates to help you create your character. Once you are done, then you can start playing the game. You will have a mentor (one of the superheroes or villains) to help you. Within the game concept of episodes, there are different levels. The game starts with a tutorial to help you get the hang of it. The tutorial ends at level 30, from where you are on your own. You can then start enjoying the action.
Once you start playing, you can participate in missions that will help you get resources to craft supplies and get points. These points can help you upgrade your gear that will help you in game combat. The combat rating is a key aspect; increasing this can help you progress faster in the game and move to higher episodes. The game highlight is in the action combats. You get to fight worthy opponents. Completing quests and fighting your way through is what makes this game immensely enjoyable. The game interface is not one of its attractions and needs improvement. The action, the customization, and the DLC content that is regularly released make this game an attractive one to play.
