‘Snayke’ Demo Released, Features 20 Levels and Multiplayer
Last month we wrote about Snayke (links below), a modern take on the traditional snake-like arcade game where players navigate a snake around, eating up blocks that cause the snake to grow while avoiding running into the snake’s increasingly larger body. Snayke offers quite a few improvements to the old-school classic: completion time records, adjustable game speeds, local multiplayer, built-in level editor, and a replay functionality allowing the player to save their best, or worst, moments.
In fact, one of Snayke’s distinctive features is that the edible blocks not only cause your snake to grow, but some can even teleport your snake, reverse it’s path, destroy other nearby blocks, and more.
The developer Alexander Szpakowski recently released the demo for Snayke which contains 20 levels and two-player local multiplayer. The demo is available for Windows, OSX, and Linux, on the official Snayke website, here.
Snayke features the music of composer Anton Riehl, who worked on the scores for Star Wars: The Old Republic, Overgrowth, and Receiver. Visit Anton’s official website, here.
Along with the release of the demo Alexander announced the release date for the full version: September 28th. Snayke is priced at $4.99 and will be available on Desura. The full version features over 100 levels, a level editor, and 4-player multiplayer.
