Here at IGM, we want as many people to embrace indie games as possible. If you are interested in playing some free indie games and writing about them for our website and magazine, we would love to have you.

We’re looking for witty, funny, and insightful content that is relevant to the Indie Game Magazine. Our staff focuses on previewing, reviewing and reporting news on indie games, but you can feel free to submit any gaming-related articles. We like stuff that’s odd and different – that’s why we focus on indie and downloadable games rather than AAA titles.

Offensive or promotional stuff gets deleted. Pictures are always a plus. Original, exclusive content is always great.

Here’s some things to get you started:

1. Register as a Writer with the Website
2. Login and visit the Writer’s Homebase
3. Complete your Personal Profile
4. Write a Post for the Website
5. Write a Story for the Magazine

In order to entice writers to provide great content, here is a basic overview of our incentive scheme:

Level 0: You Signed up as a Writer | Prize: Access to Writers Area
Level 1: Write 3 Posts for the Website that get published | Prize: Upgrade to Author – Post your stories instantly to the site without Editor Approval
Level 2: Write 5 Posts for the Web | Prize: Free IGM Insider’s Subscription ($24.95) for a Year
Level 3: Write a Story for the Magazine | Prize: Get that Print Issue mailed to your door
Level 4: Write 2 Stories for the Magazine | Prize: Get Paid $$$ Per Story/Post
Level 5: Put in the Work and show you care about Indie Games | Prize: Upgrade to Editor – Edit other people’s stories, Get a Monthly Payment $$
