‘Akaneiro: Demon Hunters’ Closed Beta Begins

Today, Spicy Horse Games began initial beta testing for their latest title, Akaneiro: Demon Hunters.

Akaneiro: Demon Hunters is an action-RPG that takes the story concept of Little Red Riding Hood and blends in Edo-era Japanese cultural influence. The game features the character, Red, fighting demons and mythical monsters. Red is a member of The Order of Akane, an elite ancient group of demon hunters, fierce enemies of the Yokai, which are actual ghosts from Japanese folklore.

Spicy Horse Games introduced 5,000 players into the closed beta today to help test server stability and game content. Once Spicy Horse Games is satisfied with the results of the first 5,000, they will allow in an additional 5,000 more, to again test server strain and overall gameplay mechanics.

From that point, additional testers will be allowed in as needed to test the game, help balance and tweak gameplay elements, and of course, ensure server stability.

Spicy Horse Games plans on having an Open Beta for Akaneiro: Demon Hunters in the future, but for now only those in the Close Beta have access to game content. Luckily, anyone can register for a chance to be in the closed beta by signing up on the official Akaneiro: Demon Hunters website.
