‘Resonance’ Steam Release Delayed
Adventure game fanatics looking forward to sinking their expeditionist teeth into XII Games’ mammoth new undertaking, Resonance, will have to wait a little longer than previously anticipated – if they’re planning to buy it through Steam, that is.
In a recent Twitter update, Dave Gilbert of Wadjet Eye Games revealed that the game will not be hitting Valve’s premier digital distribution service until July, succeeding its release via both Wadjet Eye’s official site and GOG by two weeks at the very least. Thankfully, the game’s standard release date of June 19th doesn’t appear to have been compromised, with GOG’s exclusive four-hour demo version still available for folks who plonk down the $8.99 pre-order admission fee.
In case you’ve been out of the loop, Resonance is a loftily-crafted point-and-click adventure game set in a dystopian sci-fi world. Unfolding from four different perspectives, the game’s plot promises to convey all the poise, charm and excitement of Wadjet Eye’s previous contributions to the adventure game genre. The game’s main attraction, however, is almost certain to be its sophisticated long-term and short-term memory systems, each of which must be utilised in order to find solutions to Resonance‘s increasingly taxing puzzle challenges.
