Indie Intermission – Anyone Fancy A Zombie Smoothie? ‘Bloody Zombies’ High In Iron Smoothie Will Suit All

Sometimes we all get that need for ultra-violent games. You know the type, the one with oceans of blood and body parts flung across the screen. Something to really sink your teeth into. Bloody Zombies brings you literal vats of blood and is from developer Petri Purho, just in case the violence was not enough to keep you happy it even supports gamepad – really well.

Developed originally for the Gamma 256 game jam with the constraint being the game must be created in a low resolution Bloody zombies really is a gor-a-rific low res treat. It’s because of this that the games resolution is so limited but don’t let this deter you as the game itself is a great deal of fun.

The idea behind Bloody Zombies is that you must escape rooms. To do this you must solve the rooms puzzles by collecting all the keys and escaping. However this castle seems over run with zombies and armed with only your trusty lawnmower you must reduce these zombies into some form of pulped zombie smoothie in order to complete the rooms. Using this red sea intuitively as the main problem solving tool.

If that does not already sell you the idea. How about using your lawnmower to propel you through this smoothie like some form of speed boat over this liquid remains. And in many cases under it.

Average play time – 2o minutes

Bloody Zombies is an ultra-violent puzzle platformer that provides all your blood lust needs in one gory low-res swoop. Created in a great pixel art style and with some interesting uses of blood Bloody Zombies will prove a great deal of fun, if not for the squeamish.
