New Trailer And Gameplay Footage For ‘Vessel’, Confirmed March 1st PC Release

Strangeloop Games have released an abundance of videos and new information for their upcoming puzzle platformer, Vessel. They also confirm the game’s PC release date on Steam while the PSN and Xbox Live dates are left unknown.

In the world that Vessel takes place in, everything has been transformed due to M. Arkwright’s new invention, allowing for the complete manipulation and control of liquid. Huge industries use the invention to operate as it successfully allows the animation of liquid as a living thing, a malleable one at that too. Understandably, much of Vessel relies on its advanced liquid physics, of which the developer has released a video showcasing some of the basic tools given to the player to use liquid to solve the game’s many puzzles.

It seems after months of secrecy and no words from Strangeloop Games, they see fit to quite literally drown us in information, gameplay footage and many other promotional materials. Along with the above developer first look at the game’s physics and potential, we were also given a solid release date for the game on Steam – March 1st 2012. It is expected that the game will sell for $14.99 so you better start saving your pennies! Vessel has already been recognised for “Technical Excellence” via a nomination for the IGF 2010 awards.

Along with a new trailer for the game, Vessel‘s many inventions have also being further detailed via video form. The Fluro invention is the first to receive the honor, with Seeds and The Accelerator coming shortly.

You can find out more information about Vessel by visiting the official website. We also recommend subscribing to Strangeloop’s YouTube channel to catch more videos from then as they are uploaded.
