Can You Save The Squirrels In ‘A Fallen Forest’, A Dark And Beautiful Take On Gaming

Tower defence is an interesting genre that has developed and progressed greatly over its short life span. It’s one of the leading online game types and because of this first time indie developer Robert T Sharp believes developing a game in this genre would reach the widest audience.

Of course with many tower defence games already out there what makes his attempt any different? A Fallen Forest is part graphic novel and part tower defence, really fusing two genres together in this great little bundle to allow for a fantastic story to be told.

A Fallen Forest will be taking a lot of influences from numerous authors/ illustrators like Beatrix Potter, Neil Gaiman and the Natural World. Expect A Fallen Forest to really bring across a beautifully dark looking and twisted world which will entrance you in its fantastic story. Focusing on the main protagonist Ash (featured at the top of the page) and his badger friend Silver after they return home from foreign shore and find, not all is as it seems.

Alongside a fantastic storyline and beautiful artwork expect a novel twist on the classic tower defence gameplay. Although no details have yet been announced about this twist Robert Sharp  does promise to be give us the low down in a later campaign update. Be sure to check out the campaign video below for more information and cats! or rather cat!:

So this all sounds good and proper but what can the great indie community do?

Well as of yesterday A Fallen Forest went live on IndieGoGo. Only asking for the very humble sum of $800 to finish the project, but this is due to Robert Sharp self financing it up to this point.

Now it’s up to all of you to help these squirrels get home and finish creating this novel new tower defence game.
