There Can Be Only One in ‘Refuge’

Journey to a place that has long called out for people, a place known as the Ark. A large strange compilation of buildings which look like they’ve grown out of the rock that supports them. The Ark is lit up, and it appears that no one is home. But appearances can be deceiving.

Refuge is a 2-player survival game from developer Fox Rogers. Players will explore the Ark, hide in buildings and caves, discover hidden secrets, all while trying to survive harsh conditions such as weather, and temperature. These will have gameplay effects changing the play style of the players.  There is a catch, only one player can be allowed to live. It is up to the player to decided whether or not they want to hunt their opponent or try to out-survive them. At the start of the game, players can choose who they play as on the Ark. Each character has a slight strategic advantage to them as well as a unique backstory about how they found themselves on the Ark. Players begin each game by picking a starter pack. Each one of these packs contain a number of supplies that will aid them in either surviving or assaulting. The contents of these packs are randomized.

Refuge is currently in development and is looking for support on Kickstarter. To learn more about the game or to back it, visit the Kickstarter page. To learn more about the developer Fox Rogers follow him on Twitter.
