Berlin-based game developers Mangobile have just released their ambitious strategy RPG Tactics Maiden, which as far as I know has no relation to the metal band Iron Maiden, apart from the fact that it looks and sounds very impressive. Tactics has fast-paced, addictive gameplay, intelligent enemy AI, plus five unique difficulty settings that cater to players of all ages and experience levels.
The game is set in a medieval fantasy world, much like its prequel the Kingturn Trilogy. In Tactics, you get 36 unique character classes and more than 70 special skills including ‘Heal’, ‘Ambush’, and ‘Firestorm’ to thwart a barrage of different enemies. If you have a fear of druids, assassins or wolf-riders, it’s time to banish your fear of the dark by improving and customizing your skills, in a whopping total of 85 different playable scenarios.
Tactics is currently available for Android devices from the Google Play Store and from iTunes for iOS users from September 18. The first 8 scenarios can be played absolutely free, and you can buy the complete version with a one-time in-game app purchase. Be sure to follow the Mangobile team on Twitter and Facebook for more tactical updates. What are your thoughts on the game? Share your strategies below.
