‘SWOOOORDS! Colon Lord of the Swords’ Now Available

SWOOOORDS! Colon Lord of the Swords is now available for download and/or flash play at Indie DB and Kongregate, respectively. SWOOOORDS! is a dungeon crawling action game played from an above-head perspective created in the spirit of Gauntlet, Golden Axe, Bastion, and Spiral Knights, with some rogue-like qualities.

The basis of SWOOOORDS! is a coop dungeon brawler for up to 4 players. Players travel through procedurally-generated dungeons while battling swarms of axe and sword wielding enemies. The player can approach this alone or with partners. As the game progresses players can pick up different swords with strengths and weaknesses to help attack their enemies. Players must be careful though, because if the player dies there is no respawn or second chance. Players have 1 life to live and they must live it wisely.

There are two types of attacks for players to utilize to protect them from the enemy hoards. Players can use a left click sword swing or hold the left mouse button for a power attack. Along with the attacks, the player can block enemy attacks by using the right mouse button. Timing and care are key as the player only has 5 health for the entirety of the game. Players lose health by getting hit by enemies or environmental hazards. Players can also revive health by filling their Wrath skull by combo attacking enemies. As a bonus, you get to do all your killing to some killer original metal music.

SWOOOORDS! is no easy dungeon loot crawl and demands constant attention. You can give SWOOOORDS! the old college try on flash over at Kongregate or download the full version on Indie DB.
