Sumo Revise! is the local multiplayer brainchild of John Szymanski from Cr2cr studios, who players may remember from Rubber Ducky and the Rainbow Gun. This time around, players will be treated to a tale of sumo wrestling excellencewhere between 2 and 8 players can participate using either keyboards, mice, or gamepads. Described as a 2D comedy fighting game, Sumo Revise! pays homage to the ‘quirky retro glory’ of titles such as Super Smash Bros. and Goldeneye 64.
The game introduces players to lightning quick rounds that instantly reset, which also leave a lot of room for customization, and are best enjoyed when you want to have a fun, chaotic time with friends. In-game power ups keep players guessing by being both helpful and disastrous, and the large variety of levels including Free For All!, Race!, and Bacon! promise to keep Sumo Alive fresh and exciting.
Those interested in giving Sumo Revise! a shot can try the demo, and for the musically inclined the game also comes with an OST which can be purchased in full for $4.00 USD. The final version of Sumo Revise! is available now from itch.io for $8.00, and can be downloaded as a Windows zip file.
