Success!: ‘Pid’ Confirmed For Xbox Live Arcade Launch
You just can’t keep a sprightly platformer down. Hot on the heels of last week’s announcement that developers Might and Delight were targeting an August release for Pid, their laugh-a-minute run-and-jump-athon in which players pit their wits and reflexes against a series of increasingly vexing puzzle platforming obstacles, the Swedish powerhouse has gone one step further by confirming that the game will, as rumoured, see a commercial release on Microsoft’s Xbox Live Arcade service, courtesy of new publishers D3P.
With releases also in the pipeline for PC via Steam and Playstation 3 via the Playstation Network, it looks very much as though Pid is in gear to reap the benefits of a formidable distribution capacity. And given the subject matter at hand, as the trailer above will attest, we’d say that that’s hardly a bad thing.
