‘Indie Games Expo’ Being Held In London This Jubilee Weekend
Organized by Samuel Thomson, Indie Games Expo is to take place this Jubilee weekend in London to showcase and engage with some interesting little things known as indie games. There’s still not enough of these kinds of events if you ask us, so it’s good to see another crop up. The idea behind this is, quite simply, to get some people to observe video games as more than just the AAA form and see the real beauty in smaller, less-known games.
As Samuel puts it:
“This EXPO will focus on independent games that achieve expressivity and depth of a kind that is profound and unique to the videogame medium and demonstrate how videogames have arrived in the cultural landscape with something that is entirely their own.”
If you think you’d like to attend the Indie Games Expo then you should know that it will take place at the V22 Workspace, F-Block, The Biscuit Factory, 100 Clements Rd, London SE16 4DG. It is free to attend and will be held over Sunday 3rd June 2012 (12pm to 6pm) and Monday 4th June 2012 (1pm to 6pm). Further details are on the official website.
Most important, of course, is the game line up and it’s a rather good one. Samuel had the pick of the games according to how much fun people had playing them, how captivating they are, their encouragement to make him re-evaluate his assumptions and their ingenuity being game-specific. Without further ado, here’s the list of games that will be at Indie Games Expo:
