Puzzling Action Lets You Go Click, Click, BOOM!

Have you ever wondered what keeps the internet running? Forget any technological data you may have acquired over the years, because Chroma Studios has the answer. The internet runs so well because of the Netizens.

Netizens are the characters found in the new app e: Click, Click, BOOM!, launching today for iOS and Android devices. Players will be introduced to E and his friends Nya, Kai, and Big Wild; as Netizens, they are energy-based beings whose job is to protect the internet from bugs, trolls, and other complications due to the villainous Virus and his henchpersons. Players will accompany the adorable little gang as they journey to various IP addresses, solving puzzles on a uniquely-designed 3D cube game board. Completing puzzles generates the energy that the Netizens need to keep doing what they do. Meanwhile, Virus is determined to gather enough BOOM to charge his cannon, which will blow a hole in the internet that will allow him to escape into the real world, and he must be stopped at all costs.

The adventure begins on Router 66, and from there you’ll travel to all sorts of places. You’ll collect the Netizens as you go, upgrading them to enhance their powers, and helping them defeat the minions of Virus – bugs, worms, and more – with a dubstep soundtrack to accompany you. Hidden Easter eggs and jokes will have you laughing as you play, while the puzzles and challenges test your skills and reflexes. And what’s with these strange codes all over the place? Join the discussion on Facebook and try to sort out their meaning with the help of other players.

e: Click, Click, BOOM! is the first game from Chroma, which is based in Copenhagen and takes pride in their strong ties to the Nordic traditions. The staff is comprised of local veterans of the gaming industry, including developers who in the past have contributed to such big-name titles as Guitar Hero. The long-term goal is to bring E and his friends to multiple platforms. Currently they have several additional mobile games in the works, and are even in the early stages of writing the pilot to what could become an animated TV series.

Explore the World Wide Web as you’ve never imagined it with the Netizens. The free game is available from Google Play and the Apple App Store, debuting today. Be sure to also follow along on Facebook and Twitter for more fun and news about those upcoming projects. As the developers put it, “Such features! Much enticing! Wow!”

Laura, to borrow a phrase from Metal Gear Solid 3, has one good eye and can still fire a gun. She refers to herself as a "video dame," and has been an avid gamer on various platforms since she first picked up a Pong controller over 30 years ago. She takes great delight in explaining different games to her husband.
