On the Wings of Death in Zombies on a Plane

Zombie on a Plan screen

Ah, zombies, the ever shambling horde of the undead. The general rule, they’re slow, brain dead, and always hungry. Players are accustomed to being able to out maneuver this relentless enemy. Developer Shangri-La Game Studios, however, has taken that wiggle room away from players. In their new action strategy game Zombies on a Plane, players can either take on the role of the captain or one of the last remaining passengers aboard a troubled jumbo jet.

Soaring at 30,000ft players can use the plane as their weapon or traverse the narrow aisles as one of the last members of the living, shooting their way through the horde of the undead. As the captain, it’s the players responsibility to keep key parts of the plane in working order such as the engines and rudders. Players can do this by knocking the dead off the plane. As a passenger, players gain access to an assortment of weapons and traps that can be used to halt the zombies. The passenger can also repair parts of the plane to ensure it doesn’t crash. There are 6 different game modes to either test players survival or piloting skills, such as “Flight of 10 Waves” and “Defend the Cockpit”. Players can pick from 5 different characters and 3 different planes, each with their own abilities and play styles. The zombies also come in a variety of types and different playstyles.

Zombies on a Plane will be released on Steam March 25 for Windows PC and Mac. The game will be priced at $19.99 (USD). To learn more about the game and developer Shangri-La Game Studios visit their website, “like” them on Facebook, and follow them on Twitter.
