Remember back when we held that contest to find the best “Women are too hard to animate” tee shirt? Well, we selected a winner from a number of really thoughtful designs, and starting right now, the official Indie Game Magazine WATHTA shirts are on sale! Head on over to our Teespring campaign to pick up a tee shirt for just $14.99, or a long-sleeve shirt for $17.99. The design comes courtesy of Ben Burns, and we think it’s an absolutely brilliant idea! Check out the original concept below, and buy one for you and your friends here:
Who says women are too hard to animate? Courtesy of a wonderful art submission by IGM reader Ben Burns, not only can we poke a bit of fun at this now-infamous remark, we can simultaneously celebrate a handful of games that feature amazing, compelling, and strong female characters. Can you name them all?
Our goal is 25 shirts, and we think $14.99 is a pretty fair price. We worked really hard to balance premium quality materials with an affordable price tag. If this first campaign proves a success, we’d love to make community Teespring campaigns a regular feature on IGM. In fact, should this campaign be funded, our next idea is for an Indie-centric, Back-to-School theme. Be sure to send your ideas/graphics to email@example.com, Subject Line: “Teespring Idea.”
