Nothing Says Justice like Tennis in the Face

This might be strange but stick with it: In a city dominated by an energy drink corporation, one man stands alone, fallen from fame and fortune. He dons his sweatbands once again to unleash righteous balls into the faces of his enemies. That man is Pete Pagassi. The game, Tennis in the Face. The developer, 10tons Ltd.

Tennis to the Face

Players step into the athletic shoes of ex-tennis-pro Pete Pagassi in order to save the city from an evil energy drink corporation called Explodz. The energy drink has turned once-normal citizens ranging from hipsters, clowns, police and more into crazed Explodz-addicted maniacs. It’s up to the player and Pete to save the city and stop Explodz. The gameplay is easy to pick up – players simply move their mouse to adjust the aiming line, and click to serve a vicious ball to either an enemy’s face or an object in order to knock out the enemy. Players’ actions will set off chain reactions which unfold while knocking out the enemies. The more enemies knocked out, the higher the score.

Evan would shun you and your children if they didn’t know who shot first in Episode 4. Lover of all things geek, he spends the day trying to figure out answers to questions like is Batman a worse mentor than Green Arrow? Or Did Spider-Man really make a deal with the Devil to make everyone forget his true identity or was that just a delusion brought upon by heat stroke? In his spare time, Evan enjoys a nice martini, a manhattan or a scotch along with a good game, whether it be a MOBA, RPG, Shooter or an RTS.

  • This is kind of a neat take on Gorillaz.bas or Angry Birds. It seems like the type of game that would do really well on the OUYA.
