Kingdom Come: Deliverance Heads To Kickstarter
During the past week, developer Warhorse Studios has been showing off some new information about their upcoming historically-based RPG, Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Now the latest announcement is that the Czech studio announced via their website is that the game is looking to raise 10% of the game’s total budget on Kickstarter. If successful, the studio’s main investor will front the rest of the money for development, as a great Kickstarter shows that there’s an audience for a title that is a niche as this one.
The game is described by Warhorse themselves on their Kickstarter as ”a realistic single-player RPG set in the medieval Europe. Open-world sandbox with period accurate melee combat. Dungeons & no Dragons.”
At the time of writing, Kingdom Come: Deliverance is already 45% funded, and with 29 days to go, the game will well surpass it’s funding goal. Taking cues from such varied experiences as Skyrim, Mount and Blade, The Witcher, and Red Dead Redemption, all packaged in a non-linear narrative set in 15th century Europe, Kingdom Come: Deliverance promises to deliver an experience that most gamers have been itching for that they just didn’t know yet.
