HardKour: A Fast-paced Parkour Retro Runner

If you’re the type of person who gets excited whenever a new Assassin’s Creed meets parkour video is released, then feast your eyes on Hardkour, a parkour-themed sports game that tests both memory and reflexes. Featuring retro cyber graphics reminiscent of films like Tron, and controls as simplistic as they come, Parkour invites players to get the highest game score they can.

Hardkour developers, Fingerbait, explain that Hardkour differs from other parkour games due to the game’s design, which trains your memory by allowing you to input moves ahead of time. The more moves that are successfully completed ahead of time, the faster your top speed becomes as more stylistic actions are performed. Hardkour’s protagonist is continuously running, and can perform a wide range of tricks including: Backflips, forward-flips, side-flips, and jump-and-rolls. Players can enjoy the fast-paced momentum of the game for as long as their reflexes and memory allows for, as the game only really comes to an end when you hit a wall, or fall into a gap. The high contrast neon green and black color scheme is the default graphics setting, but the game also gives players the option of selecting from blue, red, and pink.

You can play Hardkour for free today from the Google Play Store, or for $1.49 from the Windows Phone Store. For more on Hardkour, make sure to follow the developers on Twitter, and check out the game website which currently has a top 20 leaderboard.
