Hand-drawn Endless Runner ‘Umi’ now Available on Google Play

Michigan-based indie game development studio AvoTree just released their action/adventure endless-runner game Umi on Android via the Google Play store.

Umi is set in the dystopian future of the year 3000. Unfortunately, food, jobs, and even friends are hard to come by in this world. The protagonist is a seagull named Umi who has lost his formerly lucrative career and wife, and has several babies to feed. His only immediate goal is to venture forth in the strange world and find enough food to feed himself and his children. Combating infinite numbers of enemies, frantically gathering resources, and braving the elements will all be necessary in order to survive in this harsh post-apocalyptic world.

The game features four levels, eight enemies, and six weapons- all of which are designed to form a synergy creating dynamic gameplay. The developer has also promised that the game does not, and will never, feature any in-app purchases or advertisements. On top of that, the game is also scheduled to receive regular content updates for additional purchase value.

Umi is available for download on the Google Play store for $1.20. It is recommended for devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S3 or better.
