Gunpowder is All Set to Explode onto Steam

After blasting through Steam Greenlight, Rogue Rocket Games’ Gunpowder is set to be available on Steam for Windows, Mac, and Linux on July 8, 2015. (Or, for those reading this on the day of publication, tomorrow.) A Wild West-themed action-puzzler at heart, Gunpowder is ready to make the transition from the mobile iPad touchscreen to mouse and keyboard.

Players go head-to-head against the greedy wolf, Boss Grimshaw, who has swindled many innocent townsfolk out of their hard-earned gold, by assuming the role of Incendio, a friendly fox and Robin Hood-esque lone hero who plans to use explosives to steal from the rich and give to the poor. Puzzles consist of obstacles that take the form of powder trails, explosive barrels, flaming carts, Gatling guns, chandeliers, cannons, mine carts, and more. All of the environmental objects will either aid or hinder any attempts to blow Grimshaw’s various safes and piggy-banks into the sky. Described by Rogue Rocket as easy to pick up, the game offers increasing difficulty through its many brain-teasing timed challenges.

Using hand-drawn gunpowder paths, players must choreograph chained explosions across 150 unique missions, battling both their friends’ and the world’s high scores through leaderboards. The Steam version also features Steam Achievements, Cloud Saves, and Trading Cards.

Starting July 8, Gunpowder will be available on Windows, Mac, and Linux through Steam for $9.99. It can also be bought within the first week (until July 15th) at a 15% discount. Visit the Rogue Rocket Games website or follow them on Facebook or Twitter to learn more about this and upcoming projects.
