Build, Protect, and Destroy in Forts

To build something, and to have it stand the test of time, is a great accomplishment. However, destroying things is much more fun. This is the core concept of EarthWork Games newest action strategy game, Forts. We featured Forts a few months back. For a quick recap: players are put in the role of a commander who is in charge of a lonely outpost that stands in a fierce battle for the last deposits of minerals.

All is quiet on the front until the enemy faction begins to build a fort of their own in the distance. Players must rise, both literally and figuratively, to meet the challenge. They’ll have to build their fort up with timber, armor, and choose from ten unique weapons. Weapons in the game serve both offensive and defensive roles as players will need target weak spots on the opposing fort while shooting down incoming projectiles aimed at their own. Players develop their tech-tree and unlock advanced weapons to help aid in the description of their rival’s fort.

Forts has been successfully Greenlit on Steam. No word yet on an exact release date, the game will be priced at $19.99. To learn more about the game and developer EarthWork Games visit their websiteFacebook, and Twitter.

Lover of all things geek, he spends the day trying to figure out answers to questions like is Batman a worse mentor than Green Arrow? Or Did Spider-Man really make a deal with the Devil to make everyone forget his true identity or was that just a delusion brought upon by heat stroke? In his spare time, Evan enjoys a nice martini, a manhattan or a scotch along with a good game, whether it be a MOBA, RPG, Shooter or an RTS.
