Bring Music and Rhythm To Mobile with The Musician

The Musician is a rhythm-based music game developed by Rhymus Entertainment for iOS touchscreen devices. The game is similar in many respects to Guitar Hero and Rock Band with the variety of difficulty, and includes instrument options that players can choose for different songs.

screen322x572-1The Musician is a free downloadable game, with access to a small handful of songs that are freely available, some bringing more than one instrument into play. These come mostly from public domain, or are reiterations of public domain songs, such as “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star,” an electric guitar version of the “Star Spangled Banner,” a jazz version of Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy,” or a rock version of Mozart’s “Turkish March.” More songs are available to those that are willing to purchase them in one of two ways:  By using the in-game currency (diamonds) to permanently purchase the song for play, or by purchasing a VIP pass that allows unlimited use of any song for the limited duration of the pass.

There are a variety of instruments available; players will have access to piano, guitar, and drums. Though the layout of the controls is similar with each instrument, the rhythms themselves vary to add a challenge.

The Musician is a available now on iTunes for free. For more information, visit the developer’s website.

I'm a big JRPG fan in general, but games with a good story and great characters are what drive me. It touches the writer in me.
