Blockadillo: Colorful, Block Smashing Fun

IGM first learned of the Breakout-style puzzle game Blockadillo last year when it was still in its Alpha armadillo stages. Since then, the team at Game Loop Lab (comprised of Michael Olp, David Baroti, and André Engelhardt) has released the full version of the game, which features beautiful levels with hand-crafted graphics, physics based puzzles, and lost armadillo idols that are waiting to be recovered. In addition, a unique and ambient soundtrack will keep players in the groove as they accompany the arduous armadillos on their journey through the colorful yet dangerous environments.

To progress in the game, players are tasked with controlling the constantly-moving armadillo and ensuring that it bounces only on matching colored blocks. But amidst the moving platforms, ancient machines, deadly traps, and heated lava pits that abound, some levels will require players to dig deep when coming up with creative solutions.

Blockadillo is now available and free to play via the Amazon Store and the Google Play Store. For more information on the game, or any pending questions you have about armadillos, be sure to contact the game’s developer and follow the game on Twitter. Is Blockadillo an interesting twist on the classic brick break formula? We’d love to hear your thoughts below.
