Avant-garde Platformer YESno Asking for Your Yes

This is one of those cases where a trailer does a better job than I can attempt in words.

A Spanish developer started a crowdfunding campaign on IndieGoGo to get funding for his experimental platformer game. The game is about discovering, and the basic flow is a square going from one static screen to the next. Things change on the screen: Sometimes they’re round images, columns, and often text, like “I just want to be taller :(.” Occasionally there are more mysterious things like a robot coded to say “I’m not a robot.”

“I want to avoid things like text boxes for dialog, so every character has asigned [sic] a different font for when he speaks,” the creator explains on the campaign page. “Finally the story is about someone trying to remember his life, his goal is to re-remember who he is.”

The game seems to be drawing some controversy, given the YouTube comments. But this is a project that needs to be played through first before shutting it down.

The game will be released on PC, Mac, and Linux. Check out the campaign page here.
