The Anima Gate of Memories: Extended Campaign Kickstarter is down to their final six days, and as of this article they only need about £1,300 to reach their funding goal of £15,000

The game is based on the Anima Beyond Fantasy books, and is being developed by the same people who wrote those books. The game is set in Gaia, a world with medieval mannerisms, but with technology advanced more quickly through the use of magic, and focuses on The Bearer and Ergo, two agents of a society called Nathaniel, the purpose of which has been to guard mankind from the darkness.

Anima Gate of Memories: Extended Campaign is a third-person action-RPG that appears to be reminiscent in gameplay style of games like Kingdom Hearts, with plenty of quick slashes, aerial combos, and spells to bring the combat together. In addition to the basic combat, the spell system is incredibly customizable — you can switch your skills around freely throughout the game, but what makes the spell system special is that you can bind spells to activate depending on what you’re doing. To give an example, you could bind a spell so that when you jumped, pressing the appropriate modifier would launch that spell, and then, with the same button pressed, a different spell would launch while running. In other words, a combat system that quickly gets very, very deep, and is just as flexible.

People interested in backing, or just learning more about the game, can visit the Kickstarter page here. The developers plan to launch the game first on Windows, Mac, and Linux, and then to look towards consoles if possible.
