Studio Cellar Ghost is evolving today’s popular square-matching and sliding games with 4444, winner of the Top 5 Game Award Indie Prize Showcase in 2013. Published by BulkyPix, 4444 is taking puzzle addiction to the next level.
In 4444, as the name suggests, the player needs to make all tiles match in color, usually to have four large squares in the field. The game limits the player’s moves, which are done with simple taps. Each level is very distinct, and the player is graded on his performance. New color blocks are queued, Tetris-style. Things get harder as the squares change color dynamically, and there’s small blocks for a mix up. Monsters, time, and other changing mechanics are also factors that switch up the gameplay in later levels.
